  I purchased a pair of shoes costing £179 and have stretched so much over a 2 month period that I cannot wear them.
  Whilst I was advised at the time they would give, I chose the size down, although quite tight at the time. I popped into the shop and explained the issue and was told to bring the shoes in, which I did. The two girls I dealt with whilst relatively pleasant really didn't t wan to help. I was told that I should have worn the shoes around the house for a week or so, to ensure they didn't stretch....really! Would anyone do this?, I don't think so. She then contradicted herself by saying that if I had worn them around the shop for 5 minutes, I would have known if they were going to stretch! As it was I felt rushed when I purchased them.she was more interested in trying to sell me a handbag! If I wanted a matching handbag I would have asked.
  I was given a pair of insoles to try and whilst they helped slightly , the shoes were still slopping off my feet. When I realised they were not going to do anything I packed them away, and was asked to give the insoles back.
  She said she would check the order book the next day what size was ordered, in fairness she did call me back saying the size was correct, however, I though a 41 was a size 7. In fact a 41 in men is a 7, but 41 in a female is a size 8 as she old me.! Again, not explained at time of purchase,
  I bought a pair of shoes from Clarks in a similar style, and are the most comfortable pair of shoes I had purchased in a long time. When I told one of the girls that ,she said they were a different type of leather!
  Basically, fobbed off and disgusted with the service, by a shop that sells products at not such an affordable price for all.
  It is understandable that; reading in the telegraph in December their profits are dropping.
  We always purchased our children's start rite shoes from there when they were younger, but will NEVER shop there again.
  Buyers beware when purchasing unbuckle shoes they stretch!
  If I cold have posted this without any stars rating I would, but it wouldn't allow me to!
